Major repairs to the 1930’s DISCUS organ blower following a serious bearing failure.
Removal of the large DISCUS blowing plant from its rooftop location and return to our works for a full overhaul, including a new drive motor. The equipment was subsequently refitted and is again serving the organ well.
After removal of the B.O.B organ blower following flooding of the church basement, the equipment was fully overhauled and raised off the floor to prevent future problems during future incidents of flooding.
Major in-situ repairs, due to the impracticality of removal, to the drive and couplings of the 1920’s DISCUS blowing unit, including the installation of a new lay shaft and bearings for the belt drive.
Organ humidifiers replaced with brand new units, including an additional humidity feed and complete re-ducting of the system.
